The brand new playground – that includes a fowl’s nest tower, pod buildings, swings and slides – is known as after well-known Australian creator Ruth Park.

Rosina Ruth Lucia Park AM was recognised for her service to literature and appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 1987.

A wombat sculpture within the playground commemorates one in every of Park’s most well-known books “The Muddle-Headed Wombat”.
